(IN FRENCH) - Course 6 "The Classics of French Literature" : from 9:30am to 12:30pm, week 1 and 2

This course takes us on a journey through the major works of French literature, to discover or re-discover iconic works that are the basis of a common culture. We will be focusing on the works that were groundbreaking when they fisrt appeared and are still relevant today. This way, we will be questioning what makes a classic, and considering the various ways literary creations play with aesthetic codes and shape ideals, from the Renaissance to the present day. Each lecture will examine a specific period in French literature and take an in-depth look at 3 or 4 works.
